For existing structure upgrades we use International Existing Building Code (IEBC), 2015 Edition and the National Fire Protection Association 2012 101 Code for fire protection.
We further select the specific as per the building classification code, from the Groups A, B, E, F, I, M, R and S. We also keep in the design purpose and the current occupancy in mind.
We also keep the ADA Act code in reference for people with disabilities, when we design different category structures depending on the use.
AutoCAD is an industry standard software in the civil engineering, where majority of architectural, structural drafting is done.
Our team heavily uses AutoCAD whether for PDF to CAD conversions or drawing structural plans. The ability to clearly draw plans along with sections is unmatched in AutoCAD.
For Analysis, Design and Calculations for wooden structures we use ENERCALC and FORTE software. They also generate quick custom reports.
We use STAAD Pro for wind analysis in zone A, B and C, especially while designing wooden roof trusses or rafter assembly.
